Andy Carroll
Seeing as he's been repeatedly injured challenging for headers and landing awkwardly, do you expect to see more of him next season if we actually start playing the ball on the deck and not hoofing it up to him everytime we're in possession
Or is he destined to be a sick note no matter what?

Must be level now with Kieron Dyer as the worst signing WHU have ever made.

Goldie has often been way off with his predictions on when a player should be fit to play

Gold said a couple of weeks ago that he was hoping to get back for some EL qualifiers... AC was using them as a target... no news on how that's going though.

Any update on Dobbin recently? Would've hoped he'd be given a run out in a Europa League match before the premiership starts.

Re: Andy Carroll
Perhaps we could sell Newcastle one leg for half the money and they can pay the other half on delivery of the other leg when it's fit.

Do a swap with QPR for Austin as they have bought plenty of poor/injured players over the years like us.

Hammers mock AC “off” stories
Posted by Hugh5outhon1895 on May 28, 2015 in Whispers

CarrollhairflyingWest Ham United’s top brass have mocked reports that Andy Carroll is desperate for a return to the north east and Newcastle.

The hardy annual tabloid story arose again yesterday to resigned amusement in the corridors of Upton Park power.

AC has been linked to a Tyneside return more times than Status Quo have discussed retirement and we were told: “He’s going nowhere least of all with a new manager on the way and playing staff decisions to be made.

“The simple truth from Andy’s point of view is that he is happy in London, settled and like all men of his age in these circumstances focused on the arrival of his new baby.

“He can become a very valuable player to us and this time we believe he is finally through his injury problems. He certainly won’t be leaving and there has not been any inquiries.”

Carroll is an injury liability...

Didn't he get injured playing table tennis...and also in pre season training...???

Re: Andy Carroll
Said it before we signed him and I'll say it again ... This is a guy who will never score more than 10 goals in a season or play half the games. Hes a one dimensional option even when he's fit. His physicality and generally poor balance and running style means he's an absolute guarantee to be suffering injuries on a constant basis. Like he's recently admitted, his general lunging and throwing himself about means he will always get twists and pulls let alone whethe he has a genuinely (and most likely) recurring injury weakness anyway.

To his credit he tries to make up for his general lack of consistent contribution by at least hurling himself arround the pitch.

So, sell sell sell at the very first sniff of a chance OR keep him on the bench as option B in the right games and let him be an impact sub ..... But that's crazy on his money! Ludicrous signing of a moronic manager
